International workshop on Submillimeter Astronomy at Nanjin, China

An international workshop on Submillimeter Astronomy was held on Feb. 21-23, 2019, at Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO), Nanjin, China. About 40 persons were gathered from China, Japan, Hawaii/USA, and ESO, to discuss unique science cases which will be explored by survey-optimized large submillimeter-wave single dish telescopes such as LST, AtLAST, and Chinese LST. Key technologies for such large single dish telescopes, including telescope structures, millimeter-wave adoptive optics (proposed by Prof. Y. Tamura), multi-beam heterodyne receivers, direct detectors for imaging and spectroscopy, and so on.
